
Titus Hopper was selected as the Graduate School commencement speaker for the May 12, 2023 ceremony. Titus will receive his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, Superintendency concentration. His applied dissertation was on "Motivational Factors Affecting Black Male Principals in Rural North Carolina." He is the Career Readiness Coordinator for Cleveland County Schools and described feeling "truly humbled and blessed" at being selected as the graduate speaker.
Titus strives to be a "leader among leaders and an asset to humanity." His commencement address will focus on "contagious appreciation of authentic knowledge" that, when paired with individual skills, contributes to an improved nation and world for everyone.
UNC Charlotte will hold spring commencement ceremonies for 2023 graduates in the Dale F. Halton Arena on Friday and Saturday, May 12-13. More than 5,300 degrees will be awarded across four ceremonies.
