Dr. Dana Ayers Selected as Superintendent of Schools by the Jackson County Board of Education

Congratulations to Dr. Dana Ayers on being selected by the Jackson County Board of Education to serve as the new Superintendent of Schools beginning June 1, 2021. She is noted as having more than 21 years of experience and a philosophy for wanting students and staff to recognize their self-worth and potential. Jackson County is located in Western North Carolina. Dr. Ayers is currently the Chief Academic Officer of Asheville City Schools. She is an alumna of the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership program and superintendency concentration. Her 2016 dissertation was “A legal analysis of cyberbullying with sextexting cases” that was chaired by Dr. David Dunaway.
