Dr. Florence Martin was selected as the first recipient of the Thomas L. Reynolds Leadership Award. The Thomas L. Reynolds Leadership Award honors excellence in graduate program administration. Dr. Martin will $1000, an engraved plaque, and her name will be engraved on a perpetual trophy on permanent display at a central location on campus.

Ms. Tuba Gezer, doctoral student in the Educational Research, Measurement, and Evaluation program, was selected for a summer internship at the Center for Assessment in Dover, NH. Dr. Chuang Wang will will be taking a three-year leave to absence to serve as the Dean of Education at the University of Macau. One of his goals is to form a partnership between UNC Charlotte and the University of Macau.

After 26 at UNC Charlotte, Dr. Lynn Ahlgrim-Delzell retired in December 2018. Lynn is a passionate teacher and scholar. Her research and advocacy for students with developmental disabilities have improved the lives of students across the United States. She will be missed by her colleagues and students.
